My windshield is damaged. How will you repair it?

At Sekurit Partner, we make repairing your windshield our top priority. Why is this possible? Because your windshield comprises laminated glass - three layers of material. A central plastic sheet is surrounded by two glass sheets, which act as a shock absorber and prevent the windshield from shattering into small fragments. This unique composition also makes it feasible to repair the windshield under specific circumstances.

 

How we repair your windshield:

Our experts at Sekurit Partner follow a four-step process to repair your windshield:

1. Cleaning the damaged area: Our team meticulously cleans the damaged area, ensuring no residue (such as stones, dust, pollen, etc.) remains in the cracks.
2. Injecting clear resin: Next, we inject clear resin into the crack to fill it.
3. Hardening the resin: Heat is then applied to harden the resin once it has been injected into the crack.
4. Polishing the windshield: Finally, the repaired area's surface is polished to eliminate any surplus material and deliver perfect visibility.

Following the windshield repair, you can expect a small, almost invisible spot, or a slightly more pronounced one. Either way, our team guarantees optimal visibility and maintains your car's overall aesthetics.

 

In the event of damage, how do I know whether to repair or replace my windshield?

Our experts are readily available at your nearest Sekurit Partner centre to assist you. However, by responding to five straightforward questions, you can conduct a pre-diagnosis and evaluate if the damage on your windshield can be repaired:

• Is the damage a crack?
• Are there four or more damaged spots?
• Is the damage located in the driver's field of vision?
• Is the damage less than 4cm from the windshield's edge?
• Is any damage larger than 2.5cm in diameter?

If you responded "yes" to any of these questions, your windshield requires replacement to ensure safe driving. Rest assured, we are here to help you get back on the road as soon as possible.

If you responded "no" to all the questions, good news - we can repair your windshield to ensure safe driving. However, please note that if your windshield is athermic or heated, the damage cannot be repaired due to the technology used. In this case, your windshield needs to be replaced for your safety.
